Design
Your coin features the Canadian Coat of Arms, proclaimed in 1921 and modified in 1996, that reminds Canadians of our diverse heritage. It features images from France (the fleur-de-lis), England (the three royal lions and rose), Scotland (a lion and thistle) and Ireland (the Irish harp and shamrock). The engraved coat of arms flanking the denomination are selectively rose gold-plated. The reverse is also engraved with the text “CANADA” the face value of “50 CENTS” and the date “2018”. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. Her Majesty’s portrait is rose gold-plated.
