2006-P Canadian 25-Cent Pink Ribbon, Breast Cancer Awareness Quarter Coin (Brilliant Uncirculated)
The Royal Canadian Mint, together with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, unveiled the world's second coloured circulation coin. The 25-cent coin features the iconic pink ribbon, the symbol of hope and awareness in the effort to create a future without breast cancer.
Design
The obverse design features Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in right profile at 77 years old, surrounded by the Latin inscription "ELIZABETH II D. G. REGINA". This effigy was designed by Susanna Blunt.
Designed by Cosme Saffioti, the coin features a ribbon colored in pink is surrounded with three ribbons between which are written three times the facial value and "CANADA".
