1973 Bank of Canada $1 Dollar Bill Multicoloured Series, Uncut Sheet (4 x 10 Format)

The first official public sale of uncut bank note sheets (40 x $1 notes) began at the Bank of Canada agencies across Canada in mid December 1988. These sheets were printed by the British American Bank Note Company (BABN) in a 5 x 8 note format (five notes across, eight deep) and were offered either across the counter or by mail.

With the success of the BABN sheet, a second was introduced in May 1989. These sheets were printed by the Canadian Note Company (CBN) in a 4 x 10 note format. These are among the last printed notes before changing to the loonie.

On the front

Bank note depicts Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and The Arms of Canada, also known as the Royal Coat of Arms of Canada or formally as the Arms of Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Canada. The official coat of arms of the Canadian monarch and thus also of Canada (since 1921).

On the back

Dots on the obverse and on the reverse fluorescing blue under ultraviolet light. 

Specifications:

Uncirculated sheets generally show some minor signs of handline and are normally found in AU (Almost Uncirculated) condition. Item comes rolled and packaged in a shipper tube.
