2018 Niue $2 Disney Villains: Maleficent 1 oz Fine Silver Coin
Maleficent is one of Disney's most iconic villains. She first appeared in Disney's animated movie Sleeping Beauty (1959), where she cruelly placed an irrevocable curse upon Princess Aurora. In a first for a Disney villain, she was also featured in her own Disney live action film entitled Maleficent (2014).
With only 10,000 coins available worldwide, it makes a wickedly divine addition to any Disney fan collection.
Design
This second gorgeous Disney Villain 1oz Silver Coin features a full colour image of the diabolically devious, Maleficent, from Disney's Sleeping Beauty. Pictured in full colour against an engraved background, she is accompanied by the phrase, "Mistress of all Evil".
The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and is legal tender in Niue.
Packaging
The coin is presented in a complementary fairy-tale book-style packaging, with a design that is in keeping with the spine-tingling Disney Villains theme. The Certificate of Authenticity is printed alongside the coin.
