Fire Engines of the World begins a new series of coins of the Australian Mint of Perth, dedicated to fire engines of the world. The coin depicts the fire engine "Chieftain", developed by the Canadian company "Bickle" in 1932. 
It was a three-component fire engine, equipped with a water pump, water tank, fire hose and ladders. The fire engine is portrayed inside a stylised fire hose and the words FIRE ENGINES OF THE WORLD.

The coin's obverse depicts Raphael Maklouf's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
