Your coin features a festive reverse design by artist Lisa Thomson-Khan, whose depiction of Santa Claus in his reindeer-led sleigh captures the thrill and the magic of the holiday season. When the design is viewed under black light, the nighttime scene is illuminated by the glow of the full moon, resulting in a backlit effect. The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. The design also bears a special marking that includes four pearls symbolizing the four effigies that have graced Canadian coins throughout the reign of the Queen, as well as the double dates of her reign.
