Prestige Coin Set Features - 1978 Canadian $1 Silver Dollar 11th Commonwealth Games, Edmonton
1978 Canadian $1 XI (11th) Commonwealth Games Edmonton Specimen Silver Dollar commemorates the 11th Commonwealth Games which was held in Edmonton, Alberta, August 3-12 of that year. The reverse design features the symbol of the Games in the centre, and the official symbols of the ten sports which comprise the Games along the perimeter. The obverse was modified specifically for this issue.
Packaging
Royal Canadian Mint issued Prestige Set comes in black leatherette with Crest of Canada, book type with clasp. Red satin inside, hinged black plastic 7-hole display, encapsulated coins - coloured flocked jackets. Includes Certificate of Authenticity/Explanatory Card.
NOTICE OF CONDITION
Coins may be lightly toned. This is an authentic feature of coins from this time. Some packaging including black leather case and RCM storage box may contain signs of wear.
