All denominations in 1967 bore special reverses to commemorate the 1867 confederation of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and the Province of Canada, to form the Dominion of Canada.



Coin depicts the design of Queen Elizabeth II with the Latin inscription:
ELIZABETH II D•G•REGINA meaning "Elizabeth II, by the grace of God, the Queen."


The coin design depicts a Canadian Goose in flight.
