All denominations for Canadian coin releases in 1967 bore special reverses to commemorate the 1967 confederation of the Province of Canada, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick to the Dominion of Canada. 



Coin depicts the Laureate Bust design of Queen Elizabeth II with the Latin inscription:
ELIZABETH II D • G • REGINA meaning "Elizabeth II, by the grace of God, the Queen



Features Alex Colville's design of a hopping rabbit (hare) struck in commemoration of Canada's Centennial of Confederation.
