5 Cents - Elizabeth II with Tiara/Beaver (1965 - 1978)
In 1965 an obverse with a new style portrait of Queen Elizabeth II was introduced. Her Majesty has more mature facial features and is wearing a tiara.
Obverse
Coin depicts the Tiara design of Queen Elizabeth II with the Latin inscription:
ELIZABETH II D • G • REGINA meaning "Elizabeth II, by the grace of God, the Queen
Reverse
Features a beaver on a rock-studded mound of earth rising out of the water. At the left is a log which the beaver has been chewing.
