Large 5 Cents - George VI - 12-Sided (1946 - 1952)
The obverse of all 12-sided issues have a bare-headed portrait of the King. After the conclusion of World War II the 5-cent piece was again struck in nickel, but the 12-sided shape had become popular and was retained.
Coin depicts the design of King George VI with the Latin inscription:
GEORGIVS VI DEI GRATIA REX meaning "George VI, by the grace of God, the King".
Features a beaver on a rock-studded mound of earth rising out of the water. At the left is a log which the beaver has been chewing.
Roll includes 40 coins of 1948 Canada 5 Cents Nickel in circulated condition.
