Small 5 Cents - George V (1911 - 1921)

The first 5-cent pieces for the Dominion of Canada were first introduced in 1870, identical to those used for the Province of Canada in 1858.



Coin depicts the design of King George V (grandfather of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II) with the Latin inscription:
GEORGIVS V DEI GRA:REX ET IND:IMP meaning "George V, by the grace of God, the King and Emperor of India."


Features 22 leaves, tied at the bottom by a ribbon, and separated at the top by the Imperial State crown.


Lot includes 25 coins of 1916 Canada 5 Cents (Small, Silver) in circulated condition.
